Purpose

In addition to Port State Control (PSC) inspections, publication of PSC detention lists is considered to be an effective measure in eliminating sub-standard shipping. The Port State Control Committee of the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has decided that the regional PSC detention lists to be published in an on-line mode from January 2007, as such could provide the public with more timely information on detentions. Frequency of Updating

Hong Kong publishes the PSC detention on a monthly basis and uploads the list to this site in the middle of the next month.
