Local pleasure vessel operators
A local pleasure vessel operator is responsible for all operations on the vessel and must hold relevant certificates of competency. Upon obtaining the Pleasure Vessel Operator Grade 2 Certificate, the operator may take charge of a pleasure vessel that is not more than 15 m in length overall operating in Hong Kong waters. Upon obtaining the Pleasure Vessel Operator Grade 1 Certificate, the operator may take charge of any pleasure vessel operating in Hong Kong waters.
