Selection Process
The selection process normally includes two parts, i.e. a written examination and an interview. The written examination and interview may be conducted on the same day or in stages. For staged exercises, candidates are required to take a written examination and those passing the examination are invited for interview. For exercises with the two parts arranged on the same day, candidates are required to attend an interview with the written examination taken place before or after the interview. Detailed arrangements are provided in the recruitment advertisements and the invitation letters/emails to be issued to the candidates.
- Written Examination
The written examination normally lasts for about one to two hours. The examination paper comprises essay question(s) in English or in both English and Chinese. Candidates are required to express their views, elaborate on the reasoning and analysis and/or justify their arguments as required in the question(s). Candidates are expected to provide answers relevant to the question and with ideas presented clearly and systematically.
(Sample questions) - Interview
The interview normally lasts for about 30 to 45 minutes and will be conducted in English, Cantonese and Putonghua. The interview board will ask questions to assess the abilities of the candidate on different aspects including professional knowledge, general intelligence and potential.
