Approved Persons are persons approved by the Director of Marine under Section 4 of the Dangerous Goods (Shipping) Regulations 2012, Chapter 295F of the Laws of HKSAR. They have the capacity to test the atmosphere of a space containing flammable gas or other dangerous goods, issue "Gas Free Certificate" after the test and assess the risks to perform works (including "hot work") inside the space.
