Purpose:

To inform the servicing station in Hong Kong the time frame for the various key stages on application of "Certificate of Inspection".

Guideline for application:

• The servicing station should submit the application form "Form Survey 6" to Passenger Ship Safety (PSS) Section at least three working days in advance. The inspection would be arranged by PSS Section while the application is accepted by Marine Department.
• The servicing station would be inspected by Marine Department in accordance with requirements of IMO Resolution A.761(18), as amended.
• The servicing station would be approved and certified by Director of Marine within three working days after the inspection if the servicing station fulfills the requirements of IMO Resolution A.761(18), as amended.
• The contact details of servicing station approved by Director of Marine would be uploaded onto Maine Department"s website for informing the shipping industry.
